Review Policy

The two bloggers at A Year of Reading are both full-time teachers -- 3rd and 5th grade self-contained. We love to read and review books. We do not guarantee that we will review every book we receive, whether we requested it or it was sent to us without being requested. We review books we can recommend for use in classrooms, books we would be happy to put in our own classroom libraries or donate to our school libraries, and books we would recommend to other teachers.

We accept:
- Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, graphic novels, easy readers, and series books for K-6 readers

We almost never review and therefore will not accept:
-YA
- self-published books
- vanity press books
- e-books
(We make exceptions to this rule when we know the author personally.)


We are happy to accept ARCs in the above categories. If you let us know a date preference for posting the review, we will try to stick to that date to help create momentum.
